We were delighted to welcome Michael from Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital to the beautiful water gardens at The Odney Club for a very special occasion: the release of young pheasants and crows, back into the wild.

Michael shared: “Thank you to Odney for letting us release these pheasants. These young birds were abandoned from birth and have been cared for and raised by our team. After weeks of nurturing, they’re finally ready to return to the wild. It’s hard to find safe release sites, places away from busy roads or where they won’t be shot. Tracy (our receptionist) kindly reached out and arranged for us to bring them here to the beautiful water gardens.”

Alongside pheasants, Michael has also rescued and released cygnets, ducklings, and crows, giving not only care but also a second chance to wildlife that might otherwise be lost.

We feel incredibly grateful to support these releases and to offer our grounds as a safe haven where nature can thrive.

Protecting wildlife and creating space for it to flourish is something we deeply value and it’s always a privilege to play even a small part in helping animals return home to the wild.
