Meet Ania: The face behind our membership community

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your journey with in Partnership began and what you were doing before joining? 

Customer service has been the common thread throughout my diverse career, shaping my roles in sales, coaching, personal training and even as a chef and front-of-house manager while living in the USA. While I consider raising my two children to be my most rewarding job, I have always balanced my professional life with my family's needs and a deep love for travel (a topic I could talk about for hours!).

I was fortunate to continue this path upon joining the Odney Club, first as a catering manager, then as clubhouse manager at Winter Hill golf club. In my current role, I am dedicated to driving membership and enhancing the value we offer our members.

What does your role as Membership Manager involve on a day-to-day basis?

My role is dedicated to looking after our valued members. On any given day, you might find me answering questions, processing memberships, or welcoming new members with a tour. Behind the scenes, I partner with our talented events team to create memorable experiences and work with our artistic publicity team on newsletters and communications. I work closely with all the departments to ensure we deliver on every level for our guests.

What do you enjoy most about working at The Odney Club? 

I learned long ago that there is no typical day in customer service, which is exactly what I love about the role. A quick errand out of the office can easily turn into an hour of helping out wherever I'm needed, whether that’s clearing tables, assisting with membership queries at reception, or checking guests in for breakfast. I enjoy the variety and it's all part of the job! This is also why I particularly look forward to our Community cafe mornings; they are a wonderful opportunity for me to get to know our members.

In your view, what makes The Odney Club such a special place for guests?

I have always promoted our club as a friendly place and our guests become part of our extended Odney family, whereby the more they come and engage, the more it feels like a second home to them. Our beautiful setting and extensive grounds provide the perfect backdrop for our guests to unwind and relax, and by growing our range of activities and events we hope to enhance the wellbeing ethos we are envisioning.

What’s been a particularly memorable experience during your time here? 

I like to see happy people, so all our efforts that successfully achieve that goal creates good memories for me. Watching our members limbo dancing at the cocktail party this summer was a hoot!

Is there an upcoming event you’d recommend to our members and why?

I am very much looking forward to our annual Members' Christmas Party, which is always a festive highlight. This year, we are delighted to be including live music to begin the evening's festivities. It promises to be a wonderful night, and I do hope you will be able to join us.
